GURGLE is a conversation.
A conversation between the performer and her body. Between the performer and the viewer. Between the performer and the space in which she inhabits.
Language as a term can be easily manipulated, there are many forms of communication, but how one person choses to deliver in terms of language that is what interests me. I aim to distort manipulate and break down language creating my own unique form of communication. Combining both physical and verbal forms in my performance art. Creating unusually visceral objects of the body from life casts. Which I perform with creating a personal connection which the viewer can relate. Notions of the transient nature of language is explored through the use of indelible materials, such as inks and colourants. Alluding to the momentary use of language which I subvert by creating a non habitual permeant form. This permanent form is left, once the performance is finished. Acknowledging a present, an event, and a conversation which has occurred.
